We run a large-scale workshop program which works with between 300 - 500 children and adults a week across Central Scotland providing developmental music sessions for adults and children with learning and physical disabilities and young people with behavioural problems. We exist to offer opportunities to those who experience difficulty in accessing conventional music training, to those who may not be aware of the ways in which involvement with music may enhance their lives, and to those who aspire to professional careers.

In 2007 over 500 participants took part in our workshops.

Sounds of Progress have trained many individuals with disabilities over the last 18 years to professional performance and teaching standard - addressing the gap in provision for individuals who are unable to train through traditional academic institutions.
