Spasticus: by Garry Robson
Produced by: A collaboration between SOP, RSAMD, Fittings and Oran Mor.

A crippled star but not yet particularly out about his crippleness (yet) called - coincidentally - Ian, at the behest of his old teacher reluctantly visits his old school.

The teachers kind of see it as a "Second Coming" but Ian's not into any of his rock star as healer shit and is there as a favour to his old teacher and maybe a bit to show what can happen. He's mistaken by the kids as coming to do a laying on of hands and one kid in particular - Spasticus. He sees himself as chosen, Jesus to Ian's Baptist.

He from that day goes in search of Messiah status lead on by Ian's music but never meeting with him again till he meets him on the set of Skallagrig and gains true enlightenment.

The piece will be written by experienced writer and director Gary Robson who previously performed in our shows "Heal!", "Heid" and Blind Gurl and The Crips and will be a musical theatre production. The project will be developed in collaboration with The Royal Scottish Academy for Music and Drama with 12 students forming the chorus for the piece.
