Our performance work with supported bands and in music theatre is on a par with any other professional mainstream organisation. We know of our work to be of a uniquely high standard and feel that funders, media partners and the general public alike should be educated not to assimilate us with other organisations purely due to the fact our vast majority are disabled people.

We are entitled to our professional mainstream status as we are the only music organisation in Scotland to have trained and produced disabled individual musicians and performers who have crossed over in to mainstream employment and university music education.

Sounds of Progress are an inclusive organisation where disabled people have a considerable influence in the decision making process at all levels. Our productions are aimed at reaching as wide an audience as possible, nationally and internationally.
